Our Process

Our process is all about YOU. We focus on your individual style, organizational needs, and unique space throughout your project, from our first meeting to your finished closet. Putting you first and foremost ensures that your absolutely gorgeous (and highly functional) Pawling Closet Company custom storage solution will match you and make the most use of your storage spaces.

Your initial consultation will be at your home with one of our skilled custom closet designers. If you prefer social distancing, we can hold remote meetings. At this meeting, we take careful measurements of each space and spend time hearing your goals, needs, and dreams. We also inventory and measure your clothing and other accessories that need to fit into each closet or additional storage space. If you are engaged in a new build or remodel, no problem. We can efficiently work with your contractor and architect.

Based on this consultation, your designer develops customized designs for each closet/storage space. During our second meeting, your designer walks you through each design to ensure that you fully understand each design. We want to hear all your questions and concerns, so we can work through them with you, making sure you feel heard. During this time, any design direction changes you might want can be made. We also present a complete price proposal which includes material and installation costs for each closet/space and the total for the entire job.

Once you decide to proceed, we draw up a contract, accept a deposit, and schedule your installation. After that, you get to sit back and enjoy your new organized life and your beautiful customized closets!

The closet for our nursery came out amazing. Definitely beat my expectations. The whole thing cost about $2100. I purchased my own drawer hardware from House of Antique Hardware. I've gotten so many compliments on the closet, and it definitely dresses up the room and looks so much better than the plain reach-in closet that was there.
